Confession of a Lonesome Heart

"Beutifull piece"

date: July 15, 2008

This doesn't deserve to get zero bombed, a fantastic performance and you're right in saying not to record it again, it sounds lke you put alot of emotion into this... Just a question but was you drinking before playing this?
I had a picture of you sat at the piano with a bottle of whisky on top of the piano, it's prob just me but I find I can create music better after a drink it gets your emotions out better.

Anyway, fantastic work i'll be listening for more from you

Remember my Name - part 1/2

"Bloody good job"

date: July 15, 2008

Very nice work, I really enjoyed this piece, i'm curious though as to whether the Choir sound is a synth or recorded choir you have taken from another clip? if its a synth I'd love to know where it's from.

Author's Response:

The choirs are really realistic-sounding synths and they are part of the "SoundScan vol28 Acoustic SynthChoir" collection. I like these choirs because they sound realistic and can be used as staccato as well.

Thanks for your review and your points!

007 [DJ AirWave Remix]

"Alright"

date: July 15, 2008

A really good idea and it seems to go well, I especially like the section where you introdue a string in the background that gives the 007 theme more warmth, the synths could of been better, maybe look into getting a different VST program (Nexus & Vanguard are my faves at the moment)

Overall I really enjoyed this song, the reason I have only given a 7/10 rating is because:

1) the synths could of been better (although the synth for the main 007 riff sounded pretty cool.

2) The way it's been recorded / EQ'd... Theres something not right with the overall sound quality of the song, it sounds like you have put an EQ effect on the whole track and lifted up the higher end and kinda removed the base from the Equalizer, it tends to sound a bit "tinny"

Overall a good song though and if you could sort the EQ on the track this would of been a 9 from me :)

Author's Response:

Yeah I'm sorry about the synths, I got Vanguard, but I've yet to get NeXuS (I guess I should get it soon lol). I still have trouble with the Equalizer though. I need to figure out that whole thing (ill just Google the situation). But yeah, the quality isnt good, but I will definately try to fix that lol. Thank you for telling me your opinion.

"The title of the song says it all"

submission: Tranquile Disorder

Very nice piece, it's currently 11 at night where I am and this has well chilled me out ready for my nap nap :)

Love the beggining of the song the most although the synth that comes into play at 01:38 is really nice, reminds me of the song off of Gran Turismo 5

As for the genre of the song, I'd say it would deserve a spot in Ambient as opposed to Classical, classical is more strings, cellos, violas, piano, violins etc etc and is usually (but not always) played or recorded live.

Nice piece of music

"What is the fuzz...?"

submission: Estuary
date: July 14, 2008

A very nice piece, very nice indeed, calming and relaxing... Have you recorded this with real instruments then? is that where the fuzz is coming from? if it can not be removed i have a good idea to disguise it.....

Look up a synth program called atmosphere (it's a vst plugin i think)

Theres a fantastic ocean synth in that that sounds like a damn real ocean too, if you have that in the background quietly so you can just hear it, it will blend in with the hiss so it will sound like the ocean :)

Anyways check out my song called Final Goodbye if you get the chance, it's kinda in the same genre as this and has my cousin singing over it with her great voice...

I think iv noticed a key out at 1:17 on your song, if it wasn't for that and the hiss this would be a perfect 10.... again a beutifull piece of work you've made

Nice, made me daydream, very chilled out :)

I wouldn't class it as techno though its more within the trance genre I think.

Keep up the good work buddy

I agree with the reviewer below, it sounds like an introdcution to a dance song... If you're using FL Studio you HAVE TO buy some vst's (programs with really good synths) Look up a program called Nexus (made by REFX) its great :)

Nice start to the song though keep it up.

Have a listen to a few of my songs (Final Goodbye & Civilised Society) I have created them two in FL Studio... But used Nexus and a few other vst's for the sounds, you can tell the difference

Keep up the work though :)

"Excellent"

date: July 13, 2008

A brilliant piece, it reminded me of the Terminator 2 theme to start with... and then once the beat kicked in I could tell you was going for the Half-Life style, the beat is very similar to the one they had created.

A job well done, keep up the work :)

Wow, the T2 theme? Huge compliment much? :D

And I'm really glad you point out a similarity, because I desperately wanted to create "something Half-Life"! :)

date: July 13, 2008

Way too loud mate, it nearly blew my speakers i think, it's wierd cus when i turn my volume all the way down i can still hear this faintly, normally i cant hear anything when i turn it all the way down.

So dont take it offensivly its just a tip that it needs to be turned down a tadge.
